UM1 PBC VRD

The UM1-PBC is a VRD unit designed to enhance welding safety and performance. It suits AC/DC machines where electronic control is not possible, including models such as the Lincoln Titan 701, Big Red 600, Miller Bobcat, Lincoln 230+, and other machines requiring full current switching of the output terminals. Built with patented VRD technology, it ensures reliable operation, compliance with safety standards, and minimal installation time.

NOTE: When ordering specify contactors required by adding to P/N e.g. 2 contactors = UM1-PBC2

Key Features

• VRD Peak OCV less than 20 VDC
• VRD operate time programmable via onboard pot: 100 ms to 5 secs (typically set to 300 ms)
• VRD turn-off resistance programmable via onboard pot: 30 Ohms to 1 KOhms (typically set to 100 Ohms)
• Fully complies with AS 1674.2 2007 & 60974.1 2006
• Up to 3 contactors may be added for a total switching current of 900A AC/DC
• Suits AC/DC transformer-type machines requiring full current switching
• Visual indication:
  • Constant green = Safe
  • Flashing red = Danger, output live
  • Red on 2 seconds then flashing red to green = voltage greater than 35 VDC at welder’s output terminals
• Quality Molex connectors used throughout
• Input control power 10 to 30 VDC
• Works with AC, DC or reverse polarity DC
